The Camping & Caravanning Club offers two fantastic locations in the Lake District where you van purchase your own caravan holiday home.
Derwentwater Park boasts a fantastic location in the centre of Keswick, nestling on the shores of Derwentwater – arguably one of the Lake Districts most stunning waters. Locations for Lake District caravans don’t come much better than this!
The Windermere park is situated near to the quiet Lakeland village of Staveley, home to producers of unique local produce (including it’s own micro brewery!).
Lake District Caravans – Windermere
Situated just 5 miles south of Windermere with stunning views across the Lakeland Fells Windermere is one of the only caravan parks open in all seasons within the Lake District National Park.
Escape the crowds in Spring, Autumn or Winter and experience Lakeland’s beautiful autumn colours and snow-capped mountains. Our Windermere site is open right through Christmas and New Year, through to mid January.
The park is situated in an unrivalled rural location, overlooking the fells of the South Lakes. Over the winter of 2002/03, over £1.6m has been invested on the re-development of this site, to make it the perfect location for Lake District caravans.
All the caravan holiday home pitches have been designed to a high standard. Many have larger than average pitches and all have piped LPG and can be occupied over an extended season running from March 14th to January 14th the following year.
Lake District Caravans – Derwentwater
This stunning Club Park is situated on the shores of Derwentwater, overlooking Skiddaw and the mountain ranges of the North Lakes.
The holiday park has its own slipway, available exclusively to the residents of the park, yet is less than 300yds from the centre of Keswick Town, which is a two-minute walk from the caravan park. Here you will find a good selection of places to eat, a supermarket and many outdoor wear stores. You can buy a ticket for the launch on Derwentwater from reception and spend the day exploring the lake. Children will love Trotters World of Animals with its soft play area and hundreds of animals. Graphite was first discovered near Keswick. You can find out about the pencil industry that developed at The Cumberland Pencil Museum in the town. There are two places to hire bikes if you fancy exploring the area on two wheels. Those who are new to Fell Walking can start with an easy ramble from the Site
This is a perfect location for exploring the surrounding lakes and mountains, particularly with public transport by bus or river launch both within easy reach.
